Temperature Measurement in Liquids
Choose a sensor for your digital temperature meter with an immersion depth of 10 to 15 times the diameter of the sensor. This reduces the risk of measurement uncertainty. If you also ensure that the liquid is in motion during the measurement, you will achieve a more accurate result.
Surface Measurements
In this case, the sensor head is placed vertically on the surface. Here it is important to ensure that neither the contact surface of the sensor head nor the object being measured is uneven, as this can make the measurement with a digital thermometer with a sensor incorrect.
Air Temperature Measurement with a Digital Thermometer with Sensor
When you need to measure air temperature with a thermometer, simply hold the sensor out in the area to be measured. Due to its design, the air sensor has a very short response time. The measurement result can be improved by moving the sensor through the air at a speed of 2 – 3 m/s during the measurement.
