Our approach to the environment and sustainability
At Buhl & Bønsøe A/S, we are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint and demonstrating responsibility across all areas of our business.
As a distributor of measuring instruments and electronic equipment, our direct environmental impact is relatively limited. Nevertheless, we place high priority on systematic environmental management and continuously track our performance in key areas such as waste handling, energy efficiency, resource consumption, and emissions.
We also place strong emphasis on offering sustainable and environmentally conscious solutions to our customers. Our technical and industrial expertise allows us to understand systems and processes in depth, enabling us to advise customers on the most efficient and environmentally responsible use of our products. Through this approach, we help optimize our customers’ operations while reducing environmental impact.
We are committed to continuously improving our environmental footprint:
- We set relevant environmental requirements for our suppliers and ensure that they are familiar with our environmental policy.
- We ensure that all products are correctly labeled and packaged in accordance with applicable environmental standards.
- We engage and motivate our employees to have an active focus on environmental considerations in their daily work.
- We continuously work to reduce the environmental impact of transport and logistics.
- We strive to avoid the use of environmentally harmful materials and working methods in our processes.
Focus areas
Suppliers
We value collaborating with suppliers who are committed to quality and environmental responsibility.
Energy
We are focused on reducing our electricity and heating consumption.
Waste
We systematically sort our waste and recycle materials such as paper, cardboard, electronics, plastic, and batteries to the greatest extent possible. All outgoing packaging is also made from recyclable and environmentally friendly materials.
Travel
We limit travel to what is strictly necessary and always with environmental considerations in mind. Consequently, we encourage employees to conduct meetings with customers, partners, and suppliers online rather than traveling.
Delivery of goods
We package our products with environmental responsibility in mind. We strive to use as little packaging as possible and recycle boxes and filling materials whenever we can. The majority of our packaging already consists of recycled materials.
Digitalization
We have a strong focus on digitalizing our work processes. This includes electronic invoicing, digital order management, and minimizing the use of printed materials such as catalogs and brochures.
