Measuring humidity has never been easier
Humidity is best measured with the right instruments. Do you need to measure relative humidity and/or absolute humidity? At Buhl & Bønsøe, you will find everything from small handheld moisture meters to large thermo-hygrometers and multimeters that can measure much more than moisture. Common to all our measuring instruments for moisture measurement is that they are produced by the German company Testo, which has been producing quality measuring equipment for many years. See the selection and read more here.
Material moisture measurement
It is easy to measure moisture in walls, floors, and building materials with a moisture meter. A pocket-sized moisture meter for materials is the Testo 606-2, which is part of Testo's pocketline measuring instruments. The portable moisture meter is ready in no time and simultaneously measures humidity and temperature.
Moisture measurement in ventilation systems
Another model that is particularly suitable for moisture measurement in ventilation ducts is the Testo 605-H1, which has a tube attached that can be inserted into the ventilation duct so that the moisture measurement can take place inside the duct or pipes.
What is a humidity meter?
A humidity meter is a measuring instrument that measures the relative humidity in the air where it is placed. Relative humidity is expressed as a percentage and should preferably remain below 45 percent indoors. This is usually only possible in winter when we heat our homes.
With humidity below 45 percent, you reduce the amount of house dust mites and the risk of mold in a home. Humidity measurement is therefore an important part of ensuring a good indoor climate. Therefore, there are also many hobby versions of humidity meters. However, these are usually of poor quality and measure with great inaccuracy.
If you need to perform humidity measurement, a professional moisture meter is required to achieve an acceptable quality in the moisture measurement. This applies regardless of whether you are measuring relative humidity or absolute humidity. Are you interested in more knowledge? Choose the right humidity meter
In some rooms, there is a greater likelihood of condensation forming, and in others, a lot of water vapor may be released; both factors that affect both the current temperature and humidity.
When you need to perform humidity measurement and thus determine the relative humidity, there are several instruments that can help you find out how high the humidity is in the air where you want to assess the indoor climate. For example, do you need a thermo-hygrometer or humidity meter for camping and home use? Then the Testo model 605i is a good solution. This humidity meter is used to measure the air's content of water vapor.
Humidity is expressed as absolute (g water vapor per cm3) or relative (in percent) humidity. The 605i measures between 0 and 100 % RH; -20 to +60 oC, the high precision and small size make this moisture meter an obvious choice for small tasks or for use at home.

Moisture meter air multimeter
If you need to measure relative humidity, temperature pressure, and more, we recommend a multimeter like the ones you see here on the page. These multi-instruments are particularly suitable for measurements in new constructions or other building projects where accurate documentation of conditions is required. Together with a thermal imaging camera, you can create an energy report with these multimeters/humidity meters.
Data logger for moisture measurement
In the menu on the left, you can also find our data loggers for measuring moisture levels and temperature. We carry everything from individual moisture meters to complete wifi data logger systems for greenhouses or nurseries. Choose what suits your needs.
How to perform humidity measurement
Are you a beginner, and is it still a bit unclear to you how to perform humidity measurement? At Buhl & Bønsøe, we have been dealing with professional measuring instruments for both private and commercial use for many years. Therefore, we can most likely answer all the questions you have about humidity measurement.
You are therefore more than welcome to contact us and have a chat with one of our specialists. This also applies to you who are completely at home when it comes to both relative humidity and absolute humidity, and what else is worth knowing about moisture and humidity measurement.
