Benefits
After the course, you will be able to constructively apply the acquired knowledge in your daily work within:
- Building thermography: detection and documentation of heat leaks at doors and windows, construction errors, insufficient insulation, leaks in heating installations, thermal bridges, areas at risk for mold, settlement damage
- Electrical thermography: motors, rotating objects, electrical systems
- Validation: validation of rooms including verification of temperature
Content
Brief history of thermography.
General thermography theory
- Spectrum, energy, heat, thermodynamics, temperature, steady state-transient, heat capacity, heat transfer, thermal conduction, convection (natural, forced), radiation (Planck and Stefan B), reflection, absorption/emission, transmission (thermal background), Black body.
- Software presentation and overview of analysis functions.
- Thermal image examples: house facades, underfloor heating, settlement damage, electrical panels, electronics.
- Tips to avoid sources of error.
