Description 

We offer shaft alignment systems specifically developed for wind turbine adjustment. The included mounting sets enable adjustment of the gearbox and generator with the coupling removed and the rotor locked, compatible with many drivetrain models from leading manufacturers.

Many leading manufacturers require adjustments to be performed without the coupling as a safety measure. In these cases, it is necessary to perform the adjustment without rotating the shaft. This is possible with Easy-Laser systems, designed for use with the coupling removed and the rotor locked. Removing the coupling and using the specially designed brackets is the safest way to perform wind turbine alignment.

The systems are intended for both installation and continuous maintenance work in the field, making them suitable for service companies' requirements.

Systems for shaft alignment with locked rotor
Our two specialized systems include brackets that fit the specific gearbox/generator flange interfaces on many turbine variants from leading manufacturers:

System VT
This shaft alignment system consists of three different sets (sold separately):

• A general installation set
• An additional service set for use on smaller turbines
• An upgrade set

The installation set can be supplied without measuring units and display unit (formerly called mechanical mounting set) if you already own these. The system can be used with both E- and XT-series measuring units. The complete system fits all Vestas turbines.

System GA
This solution includes:

• A set with display unit and measuring units (E-series) and brackets for measurement with the coupling in place
• A mounting set (for both E- and XT-series) for measurement with the coupling removed

The sets are sold separately or as a complete package and fit Siemens Gamesa turbines.

Axial alignment with rotating shaft
To perform shaft alignment with the coupling in place, the shaft must rotate, for example via a servo drive, and be stopped with short pauses. The measurement program EasyTurn, included as standard in all Easy-Laser systems, is ideal in this situation as it requires only minimal shaft rotation to determine the adjustment state.

For adjustment with a rotating shaft, we offer two standard systems:

• Easy-Laser® XT660 Shaft SG1: A version of the XT660 shaft alignment system with brackets for use on Siemens Gamesa turbines of various models.
• Easy-Laser® XT660 Shaft WMB: A version of the XT660 shaft alignment system with brackets for use on multiple brands and models.
