Content
Brief history of thermography.

General thermography theory

  • Spectrum, energy, heat, thermodynamics, temperature, steady state-transient, heat capacity, heat transfer, conduction, convection (natural, forced), radiation (Planck and Stefan-Boltzmann), reflection, absorption/emission, transmission (thermal background), Black body.
  • Software presentation and review of analysis functions.
  • Thermal image examples: building gables, underfloor heating, settlement damages, electrical panels, electronics.
  • Tips to avoid sources of error.
