Professional measuring instruments for measuring the working environment
As our retirement age increases and the workforce simultaneously decreases, there has been a focus on the working environment, both the psychological working environment, which cannot really be measured, and the physical working environment, where you can quite specifically go in and measure whether there is something wrong with sound, light and noise levels. Here we present a range of measuring equipment for measuring the working environment.
Working environment: Measuring noise
One of the areas of focus that is most focused on is noise in the workplace, it is a known fact that too much noise and clamor stresses employees in the workplace. We sell precise measuring instruments such as sound meters from Casella and Testo, which can measure noise with great accuracy. The precise sound meters from Testo can also measure noise levels with great accuracy, you can set the dosimeter to log noise at intervals, so you can see if the levels have been exceeded during the working day, even if you have not had time to check the noise meter.
Working environment: Accurate light measurement
One part of the working environment that is not so much focused on is light and brightness. Illuminance (the intensity of light falling on the work object) is usually used as a measure of whether there is enough light. Requirements in legislation as well as norms and standards are usually stated as illuminance. Illuminance is measured in lux. For most types of work, the required values are 200 or 500 lux, while 1,000 or 1,500 lux are required for more light-demanding work tasks, such as evaluating color samples or other special tasks. The testo 545 professional lux meter can measure and document the illuminance in various rooms such as schools and hospitals, etc. Is there enough light in the workplace? Is there too much light? We have the measuring instruments that can determine these questions.
Working environment: Dust meter, particle meter and dust dosimeter
Dust can have an impact on our health, especially when manufacturing certain products. Dust measurement is often carried out in connection with an APV (workplace assessment) or during indoor climate or environmental surveys. A measuring instrument called a dust dosimeter is used to measure dust in the workplace. The particle meter is placed on the belt of a person who moves around the workplace as usual. When the day is over, you can easily read the dust and particle levels on the measuring instrument; if they are above the permitted limit values, action must be taken. We have particle meters with different accuracies and certainly one that suits your needs.
