The level switch 10 N is used as a safety device in thermal engineering and process plants to prevent liquid levels from falling below the lowest permissible limit. As a limiter, the measuring instrument meets the safety requirements of DIN 4754 for systems with organic liquids.

Advantages of Fischer NK10 Level Transmitter:

  • NK10 is temperature resistant up to 400 degrees Celsius
  • Parts made of stainless steel in double-walled stainless steel housings
  • NK10 is treated with heat-resistant paint.

Level meter with built-in self-test

The level switch is installed so that the float system extends into a liquid-filled tank. The float rod transmits movement via the varying liquid level directly to a micro switch. The mounting point on the float rod is located in the part of the measuring device that is sealed against pressure. This part is a stainless steel bellows.

The switch is equipped with a test button that allows for checking the signal circuit according to DIN 32 728 without draining the tank. When you press this test button, the float moves against the buoyancy force, thus simulating a falling liquid level.

Robust construction and long service life

According to DIN 32 728, a locking device meeting the requirements of DIN 57 116 / VDE 0116 must be incorporated into the subsequent electrical circuit if the measuring instrument is to be used as a level limiter. Fischer NK10 naturally meets this requirement and is thus ready to be mounted directly on a production plant where pressure and hot liquids need to be monitored.

The measuring device can withstand up to 16 bar pressure and operate with liquids up to 400 degrees Celsius. The level meter is approved for use in hot environments with an ambient temperature of up to 70 degrees Celsius.
