Casella Apex2IS air environment monitor comes in three different models: Apex2IS Standard, Apex2IS Plus, and Apex2IS Pro, which we describe here; the Pro model can also measure airflow and movement and is the model to use for advanced investigations of the air environment; Apex2IS PRO also has a timer so it can be set to measure at specific intervals.

The display is located on the side of the Apex2IS; here you can set various parameters depending on what is to be measured; although the measurement pump has a display, it is built to withstand very harsh working environments as the display is protected by plastic.

Casella's Apex2IS Pro air pump monitor has its own app called Casella Air Wave; the air monitor reports collected data directly to the Air Wave app, so you do not need to read measurement data on the pump itself; all data is reported into the app, from which it can be monitored or exported to external programs; you can monitor air measurements in real-time from a smartphone while the test subject moves around in the environment.

Easy calibration and reading of Apex2IS Pro

You are welcome to visit our calibration workshop in Smørum, but actually you do not need to come by as Casella has built-in self-calibration in the air monitor; just press the button to start calibration; a manual for calibration is included, and you are always welcome to contact us via email or phone.

Apex2IS weighs only 490 grams

The challenge with air pump monitors is usually that they are unwieldy and disturb the test subject during testing; therefore, Casella has worked on the weight of the measuring equipment to such an extent that the test subject often forgets they are part of an air quality measurement.

Automatic alarm and rechargeable battery

Apex2IS has an automatic alarm for blockage of the air intake; should the air pump become clogged, this is reported to the app, and a red light will flash brightly on the measuring device; it takes 6 hours to fully recharge the battery, but then you can measure the air environment all day without stopping.
